This sauce is so easy to make that it sounds too good to be true. Try it yourself to believe. Once you make it, I assure you that you will never go back to the store-bought caramel sauce and the delicious taste is guaranteed to make you go weak at the knees.

INGREDIENTS
130 ml Thickened cream or Canned coconut cream for vegan
⅔ cup Brown sugar
2 tbsp butter or Margarine for vegan
INSTRUCTIONS
In a saucepan on high heat, add the cream, brown sugar and butter / margarine.
Bring to the boil while whisking and then reduce the heat to a low simmer.
Allow to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until it has reduced a little bit and the sugar has dissolved.
This will make a hot thin sauce.
NOTES
Place in the fridge until needed. If you want a thick cool sauce, make it the night before and leave it in the fridge overnight to allow it to thicken.
To thin the thick sauce, add more cream and heat.
